What Am I Doing, Now?
I'm traveling throughout the tri-state area working towards a stable, yet exciting way of life as an artist with my husband, James.
Here is what I’ve been working on:
*Being a supportive and present wife, daughter, sister, aunt and best friend to those who still live close enough to visit.
*Working through online & hand-on courses I’m growing as a maker. I’m still researching techniques in metal and stone. Any courses taken at a local ceramics facility in Aug. & September will serve educational goals, professional development and career planning needs for my journey.
*Reading books: The book Savannah was given to me by a family friend and I’m currently reading this. I recently traveled to Savannah and Tybee Island for research. The book, a historic novel has been inspiring to read.
*I’m passionate about creating content that will help students learn and achieve goals in all areas of life. In the next five to seven years I may activate my professional degree in leadership, but for now I’m focused on more entrepreneurial pursuits.
*Traveling, commuting and collecting physical and historic references for research as an artist. I’m still collecting wax seals, antiques, old photographs and all types of historic ephermera.
*Creating a portfolio is an essential goal this year. I need to retain a larger quantity of work. I’m actively working on prototypes for detailed pieces.
*Getting healthier after a back injury. Physical therapy is in my future for 2018-2019.
These are my main priorities right now.
I am open to considering new opportunities, as I highly value growth. I realize that hope is not a strategy for growth and luck is not a factor. I aspire to stick to the priorities. As a result, I will politely decline any requests that do not help me attain results. If my activities or priorities happen to change, I'll update this page to reflect those changes.
