Mixed Media is a creative challenge.  Whether it's photography, painting, video, paint or metal, the process of creation is always a joy.


"I paint because I'm still amazed by the magic of a loaded paintbrush thick with brilliant color.  Such a simple tool can charm, delight and inspire.  Creation is divine.  It is reasonable to say that at the ripe old age of nine I found my true love in oil painting.  Paint inspires me to teach others, to share the joy of this skill.  The world is modern and being modern means surviving with digital tools but I am still amazed at the magic of traditional art mediums.  A modern artist must not lose their inner child, because this is our true self.  Reorganizing lines, spiral patterns and fun textures on a canvas allows me to enjoy all that is possible from my first love, oil painting.  A fanciful rendition of a vivid world full of color lives within my heart and this world is able to take shape through the process of drawing and painting. I hope my paintings elicit a response of joy for those that view it."
